banana tales
Fruit
What's your favourite type of fruit?Mine is mango. millie doesn't like bananas even if I kind of do.Daddy is the one who likes them best out of us. My favourite type of dessert is either fruit or sometimes Ice cream.Lots of people like cookies and other stuff my second favourite type of fruit is lemon.Millie and mama like apples daddy likes oranges.I don't really think I like bananas but normally when I eat them I like them. When I think about eating a banana I think it will be mushy but it isn't.We never get bananas so I never get to eat them.I don't really care.
Desserts
How many desserts do you like? I only really like 3 and that is Tiramasu or fruit or even sometimes ice cream. That's what we normally have for dessert and we barely ever have dessert. We only buy it on very hot days Today we are not going out only to get dinner all I've been doing is blogging but it is fun to write banana tales it is mostly lots of little story's about fruit dessert and a few others .I don't know what they will be about.what type of dessert do you like.mama said that it is burning out side. I hope it is not. I'm back and I did not get what I want . Its burning hot out side and were having dessert its sorbet and cherry ice cream I don't really like it.Its almost dinner its 7:52pm isn't that sad we go to bed at 8:30pm millie just went to talk to mama about dinner so its ok daddy's out

we've got back home ( Wales) and seen millies best Friend in a super market and been to millies favourite book shop. And got one billion books more than you can think of. I even got tons more than thirty three books we got today. we also got to see our granny and grandpa they came last night at eleven thirty because they went to a concert. Our granny only got two books. My first book I have is Tracy beaker its called Starring Tracy beaker its all about a girl called Tracy and she lives in a children's home and wants her mum to come back and tack her home but she cant because she's a famous film star and writes books.
X = C
millie and me love to right a easy code.So we always do the opposite of the word X is the opposite of C so that's why my blog is called X = C I like to remember that like L is the opposite to O so if millie wrote something like hello lottie
it is easer to work out it is
svool olggrv that is it in are code that means hello lottie like I is the opposite to R so I am a cat is
r zn z xzg to work out what something means you split the alphabet in half and then count the number 2 times then you get the answer so if I said to millie lets have fun what would it be if you are on a computer then just open a new page and write the alphabet the cut in half at M and N so you get he answer and if you want any more letters there's P P is the opposite of Q so queen is pfvvm so if you want to learn keep on reading it gets better if you need any more letters here are some A is the opposite of Z so its A Z en just open a new page and write the alphabet the cut in half at M and N so you get he answer and if you want any more letters there's P P is the opposite of Q so queen is pfvvm

Philadelphia and Friends!
While we were in NYC we thought it was a good idea to go and see some friends we have who live in a suburb of Philadelphia. The grown-ups are called Corey and Tom and they have three kids. One who is half a year younger than me called Colwyn, one a bit younger than Lottie called Rhys and one who is four called Jasper. We rented a zip car and drove there. When we got there we figured out soon enough that
We had a wonderful dinner of chicken and corn on the cob. We went inside and had some blueberry crumble. We then did something that Colwyn did NOT want to do. We watched the music video which both a very young sleepy Colwyn and a very young shy me are in. We could kind of predict what would happen because we guessed Colwyn would yawn and then he did. I think he ended up going to sleep. The only time I ever sang or danced was when I stood up and waved my arms about and spun round and round. I thought I was HILARIOUS! We then talked and went to bed.
The next morning we had a late breakfast and drove to Philadelphia. The car arrangements went like this. Tom and Tom with Rhys and Lottie in one car. Jasper,Colwyn, Mama, Cory and I in the other. We drove to Independence hall and got in WITHOUT the others. Mama got a phone call that they were looking for parking. So we then found them later and went to a place called Reading Terminal. It is this old terminal that they basically turned into an all year round farmers market. We had lunch and headed back to the house. Me and Colwyn managed a very silent game of basketball by somehow making it so we try to make a hoop and give it to the other person then they try and give it back and so on. We did that. I also found that playing a piano again was wonderful. Usually when there is one I won't play because I get embarrassed but with Rhys playing too, I stopped being so scared. I played over and over again.
We then drove for about an hour with the same car arrangements to a place where we had dinner. We then drove to a garden where there would be fireworks. We got there just in time and I have never seen lovelier. You are in a quiet garden and then there are tons of fireworks. We were listening to Swan Lake music while we watched the show. We then took a walk through the gardens and I got scared because I get scared in the middle of a field in the darkness. The funny bit was when we got to throw two pennies in the fountain and Colwyn accidentally threw his wristband to being allowed in the water! He then had to fish it out! We fell asleep in the car. Well I didn’t. When we got home we all went to bed and got some sleep.
The next morning we had another late breakfast and then I played some more piano and basketball. I also rode Rhys bike a bit. We then decided to go to the town pool. I got changed quickly and when we got there I was the only one brave enough to go into the cold water. We then swam around and played. Me and Colwyn started a game where we hit a ball some where and swim to get it. The one who got it hit it again. This carried on and through the trying to get it I got kicked in the head once by Colwyn but it did not matter much. We then had to go so we said goodbye and drove back. I had one of the best weekend EVER!
- Jasper is stronger than me
- Jasper is a good puncher and very rough
- Colwyn and Jasper are Baseball nuts!

NYC part 1
We have been in New York for about three weeks and have about a month left. We have been to alot of places and instead of doing lots of posts I will do a really long one. So get yourself ready for LOTS of info!! So let me see... Ah Ha first is:
The Empire State, Central Park and Grand Central station
We went into Manhattan with Daddy as he headed to the office and we went to the Empire State. Daddy’s office is really close to it so we went and walked after saying goodbye to him. We walked through Bryant Park and walked their it was early in the day so the queue was not really really long. We got our tickets and made our way to the lifts. You know those places where you have to get your picture taken. Well of course there was one of those. And there was a long line which we had to stand in and then skip it. Then we kept going and finally got into a lift. All the way up there was someone saying "Welcome to The Empire state ..." in lots of languages. That got boring. Up and up we went until we finally got to the 80th floor. Then we got in an other lift to go to up six more floors. Then we got to the top and could see all over the city!!!!!!! I of course knowing me took lots of pictures. We then went back to the air-conditioning. We took the lift down and when we got to the bottom decided to go and see 1 out of Mamas two favourite buildings. Grand Central station! We went in and had a sandwich for lunch. Then we went to the Metro and went to Central park and had an ice cream sitting under the trees. I love NYC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And we had a good day!Tuesday, 17 July 2012
Washington DC part 1
Hi
We decided that being in New York was a good time to go and see DC. So mama booked tickets to go on the Amtrak to DC. And she booked a house to stay in for four nights and then we went. We left on the 12 and got back yesterday on the 16. On the way there we got four seats facing each other. The guards told us off for doing it but lots of people including us said we found it like that so they were ok about that after a while. When we got to Washington DC it was about 3:00 so we took a taxi to our pace and saw the house. We then set out for lunch at a café called Pot City cafe. We then went home and then to one of the best book stores in the world! You walk into a three story building with piles of random books everywhere and you can see some and not others. They were piles so high they were taller than me! I got a book called Daddy Long Legs which mama says I will like. We then went and walked around the capitol. It is really big and nice. I liked it. We thought it was funny that the supreme court and the Library of congress both had scaffolding on it. And the capitol was one of the only ones without it! We then went home and had a nice Italian dinner a place not to far from where we were staying. I had a nice tomato pasta.
The next morning I woke up and READ as always. We then went and walked to the Library of congress where we saw Thomas Jefferson Library. It was cool because it had a few books I have read like:A Tree Grows in Brooklyn,Huckleberry Fin, The cat in the hat and other books. We then went and had lunch where I had a nice sandwich. We then walked to The capitol building to have our tour. It was nice and quite interesting. There were two statues per state and Californias where Jejuna Pera Serra and Ronald Reagen. I liked the tour and there was a room where the sealing was made and it made echos which was funny!!!! They also told us about the pentagon in 9/11. The tour guide said her husband worked at the pentagon but luckily was at home sick. She also said she saw the areoplane fly over their head. Some people thought it was heading for the capitol but luckily it was not!

The Fourth of July
Three days ago it was the fourth of July and the US was celebrating
independence day with fireworks. Being in NYC we watched a huge
fireworks show over the Hudson River. And if anybody asked where we are
from that days its Australian because I dont think they would be too
happy. And so at 6:00 we left for Manhattan. And got ready for lots of
big crowds!!!!! When we got there we walked and walked and walked and
walked until we got to an area. We sat down and then a minute later were
told to stand an move up so we did. "Stand up becuse lots more people
are coming so make room" said a policeman but that did not work and
people stayed put! So we sat there for a really long time watching it
get darker and darker until at 9:20 I stood up ready for it my camera on
the firework setting and then Boom up went the first! It was funny
cause we were cramped in waiting but when it started the all moved back
for a good view. It was about 25 minutes long which was nice. There was
lots and lots and lots of them all different types. I took some really
good pictures. Hope you like em! Oh and also I had forgotten how load they were so surprised me!

Shedd Aqariam
We decided to go to Shedd aquarium because people said it was really good. Well we and they were wrong. It had little play areas for kids every were (when I say Kids I mean 2-6). Well we came in after going in a ridiculous long line. And then I got laughed at for daydreaming and staying in line while Mama and Lottie were getting the tickets(oops!) We went to see a talk about animals which Mama said was very "Cheesy".That made Mama in a bad mood. So we left that and went to see the Dolphins and the Bulga whales. That was the only bit I liked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(other than the sharks). They had a special exhibition of jellies fish than was definitely not as good as the permanent one at Monterey bay Aquarium In CA. Well that made Mama in even more of a bad mood. Then we went to see the penguins and there was a play are for kids that had little kids running round like penguins sliding down slides and more. We tried to go see the dolphins again but the had a sold out show that had the dolphins and they crossed of the whole area acting like you HAD to pay and there was no sneaking peaks. That took a long time but finally we saw the dolphins again and left the aquarium with a disappointed mother and two hot children. Mama was not happy and I don’t think she recommends it!
The Field Museum
It was a hot Sunday in Chicago and so we went to The Field Museum. We went at about 11:00 and then when we got off ate lunch at Pot-belly. I had a half of a new Mediterranean sandwich. Lottie had half a tuna and Mama and Daddy had something else. Then we went back into the hat and walked the rest of the way to The Field Museum. It is HUGE museum that is actually really pretty architecture. We went to the Evolving planet area that tought us all about the evolving earth and that took us about 1 and a half hours. Then Daddy and Lottie headed off to go see the Sue movie and me and Mama went to see the ancient Americas. I am very good at losing my battery on the camera when I get to an interesting bit so I don’t think I could take and pictures.
The Evolving planet started of right at the beginning of life on earth. There was a thing showing you this really funny video that was kind of meant for kids but was also kind of complicated. We then walked through more and more and more and MORE stuff. It took a really long time though. Did you know that Sue the dinosaurs head is too heavy to put on the body so the had to make a lighter copy! After going there we went and saw the Ancient Americas.
Daddy and Lottie walked of to see the movie about Sues life. Me and Mama went to see the Ancient Americas exhibit. There were alot of really nice pottery things that I liked. We found Daddy and Lottie back with us halfway trough and decided that we would stop there and go down to the Inside ancient Egypt. They had a fake pyramid and then alot of mummy’s and a thing showing you the proses of mummification. That started my thing of ancient Egypt!!!
Here are some pictures I took!

8 months ago we came to Chicago it was a long but fun drive. For the first time we got out of the car when daddy was doing the thing.
It was fun because I found a ant on my window and I took lots of
pictures of it. But then after a while the ant left and so I had to
start taking pictures of other stuff. we pasted lots of stuff and after a
while every somebody was hungry so we stopped. I do not remember if that

Art Institute Chicago
A few weeks ago we went to the Art Institute. It was a weekend so Daddy came with us. First we went through all of the European area which was quite big! Then we went and saw Impressionism and The Sunday on the grand something or other. Then we went to see the American stuff and we saw American Gothic. And we saw Nighthawks. It was really interesting!
Then me and Mama and Lottie went and saw more of it on an different day. (See I CAN spell different!!!!!!!!!!!!!) We saw the special exhibition of Roy Lichtenstein stuff which was cool but we only did it quickly. We also saw some contemporary art (I think!). We were there for like two hours. I do not understand why Lottie does not like art museums but she does not! But when we went to the Lincoln Park zoo we made a game called Art Bingo where you look for things in paintings. Lottie LOVED the idea so we played it the next day at the museum. It is where you look for a particular thing and then you write down the artist and the painting name. We played it and now Lottie will actually come to museums!

Chicago History Museum
We went to Chicago’s History Museum first because we thought it was good to know the history of the place. It is a big museum which you get to on the brown line. First we went to the cafe were Lottie and I had a not to good tuna sandwich. Then we went and started in a section about the history of the city (of COURSE), They had one of the old L cars from the 1900s. Mama really liked it and you could go inside and see the seats. You could also sit on the seats which we did on the second time. (You will see later). Then we went to see the diplomas. There was one of the great fire and another of the worlds fair. Lottie liked those best. Then we went to the kids bit where we made a postcard and played around. There was an old bicycle that was so cool! Then we went to get and ice cream-or so we thought! There was Pinkberry with frozen yogurt and a ice cream shop too. Mama got carried away with the name Pinkberry so we went there. It was really really yummy! Then we walked back and took the L line back home.

We also looked at the "Cloud Gate" a.k.a "The BEAN" Why not call it the bean cause it is shaped like one! I dont agree with the name! Anyway that was basicly the whole day.

Ames, IA
A few weeks ago we went to Ames,IA to see my dads old friend he met in Florence called Mellisa. She has a five year old Called Vivienne. She is really funny and we liked playing games with her. We went to this farm called Living History Farms which is where you see what it was like to live a hundred years ago and it was really cool. But that day it was wet and rainy so we did not really do that much. We went to Des Moines and had a girls day out where we got new clothes at a mall. I got some really really cute dresses and me and Lottie got some sandals. Mine are red and Lotties are white. We stayed in a B&B called the Iowa House. It was a really nice B&B and the food was nice. I liked it. Sorry if I did not included it all!! I am very busy which is why is why I have not been blogging longggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse
A few weeks ago we went to Mount Rushmore and then Crazy Horse. It was a wet day and we were going to also go to Jewel Cave but chose not to! We only went to MR and CH. Mama wrote a weird blog post too. She was not that impressed about MR but was about CH. I liked Crazy Horse better (SORRY!). It was fun and then we went home and had good pizza and then went for dessert at a really good pie place (almost as good as mission pie!) It was really nice and they had rubarb pie which Lottie had. Did you know that each face on MR is 60 feet long? Sorry if this is another short blog post!!!!!!!Here are some pictures though!

The Badlands
I am so sorry that I have not blogged for a long time but we were very busy! We are now in Chicago "The Windy City". I think San Francisco’s windy too though! Chicago is a really nice city. A few weeks ago we went to The Badlands,South Dakota. It was really really hot (91 f) which basicly put Lottie of speaking! It was a really good day out even though we had to drive for two hours to get there! The rock formations were really really pink and there were lots of layers. We went to the visitor center to watch the " Award winning film" that did not really tell us about the formations. Then we went to do a short fossil walk with fossils and the drove home. It was really fun and there were lots of prarie dogs. On the way back there were lots of signs saying Wall Drug 5 cent coffee and Wall Drug exit 109. They were very entertaining and we saw about 30! Im sorry if I have not written much but I have many blog posts to write! Here are some photos:

Wind cave!
I am so sorry that I have not been blogging for a while. About a week ago Lottie,Mama, and I went to a national park called Wind Cave. It was really amazing. We went on a tour of the cave and the original entrance of the cave was a small circle in a rock. The story is said that two brothers were horse riding down the path and one of them heard distinctive noises. He got off the horse and put his head near the hole. His hat blew off. They went off and then came back with lots of people. Again he stuck his head near the hole and this time his hat blew down the hole lost and gone forever. They thought they had found... GOLD!
It turned out that it was a cave. And there was NO gold to be found in it. In the 1900s a 16 year old boy called Alvin McDonald came and lived there. In his back yard there was the entrance to the cave. Of course when you are sixteen and have nothing to do where would you go? INTO THE CAVE! He explored the cave lots and losts. He wanted to tell the whole world about his favourite thing-the cave. He asked his father if he could go to the world fair in Chicago. His father agreed and they went together. At the fair he caught Typhus. He came home still extremely sick and lay in bed wishing and wishing that he could go down to the cave. He did and did that for four days going in and out in and out. That made him catch pneumonia. A few days later he died at the age of 20.
I am so glad that we have the light bulb and you will find out in this paragraph. Down in the cave our tour guide showed us what it was like on a tour with Alvin McDonald. There was a tin can on its side with a candle inside. Then she showed us what it would be like without ANY light. I was 300 feet below the surface and in complete pitch black. I was TERRIFIED! It was basicly the reason that I wanted to get out of there! It was still really really fun! I liked the national park alot but was glad to see the sky again. It was easy to get out because of the elevator!

The Museum of flight
A few weeks ago we went to a museum called The Museum of Flight.
Now if you love aeroplanes and you are in Seattle this is the museum for
you! It has a ton of stuff about them and you can got in the concord
and the presidents aeroplanes. Now I hate flying but flying in the
presidents aeroplane with a real bed would be fine! It was really cool
and I would reccomend it. First we went to a bit about aeroplanes and space. I do not want to go to space because of the terrible beds and you do not want a tired me or I will do NOTHING. Then we went and learnt about how they used aeroplanes in the wars. It was really interesting and I learned about the signs that are on the edge of the aeroplane. It was interesting and I liked doing it. I love learning. Then we went to the café and had muffins. Then we left. It was a great day and if you are in Seattle I recommend that you go because it is so so cool.
